Last year, we looked at our favorite holiday movies. This year, we decided to do a tier ranking of well-known holiday characters. This list includes characters from film, songs, television, and more. Our staff decided to offer their takes on this ranking. We want to know what you think. Add a comment below! 

Avery Horan, Social Media Editor: I love how Buddy the Elf is in the S tier, right where he belongs. He is easily the best Christmas character, and it’s not even close. I agree pretty much entirely with this lis,t and I’m very happy George Bailey is also on the S tier, as he is very underrated. 

Zoe Moon, Staff Writer: Most of the placements are great, but Mrs. Claus should be moved higher up, probably to A tier. She’s a classic, and while a minor character, she’s extremely important. Also, I think the Grinch should be higher because even though he stole Christmas, he brought it back, and is a perfect example of a “Festively Fantastic” Character.

Alana Nobles, Staff Writer: I agree with the placements, but I do feel like we should add Mickey and Minnie Mouse, from Mickey’s “Once Upon A Christmas.” I personally found that movie very nostalgic, especially when I was younger, because I would watch the repeatedly. I think they should be put on B tier or C tier. 

Avery Sanchez: I agree with most of these placements, but I feel like Rudolph should be higher, at least like B tier or A tier. And Charlie Brown should be in D tier, while he does have a Christmas special, he also has a Halloween and Thanksgiving special. He also has a lot of media outside of these specials.

Rick Pecka, Adviser: I am incredibly confused as to how Tim Allen’s character in “The Santa Clause” ranked higher than the actual Santa Claus. But I am pleased that Clark Griswold got his due.
