Leading up to this year’s Winter Break, the members of the Falcon Press Staff will be sharing their favorite holiday films each of the 12 days leading up to the last day of school on Friday, Dec. 20. We hope you enjoy this feature, our thoughts on the movies listed, and the memories we associate with them!
Layla Caramante – “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” (2000)
I have watched “ The Grinch” every Christmas, filling me with joy every time I see it. The way the character Grinch is portrayed and how he grows to love Christmas after hating it his whole life is amazing. It shows how changing yourself after believing in something for so long is not impossible. Every time I see “The Grinch” I just remember all those times I was watching it with my family and the great laughs we were having.
Yara Paiz – “The Grinch” (2018)
The first time I saw the movie was with my little brother. I enjoyed the movie and the music within the film, especially the songs by Tyler the Creator and Pentatonix, who happen to be one of my favorite acapella groups. The Cindy-Lou Who character was one of my favorites because of the mission she had in the film.
