Powderpuff, an annual homecoming tradition where girls play flag football and boys cheer, has students excited for this year’s game.
The Powderpuff game is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. There is a $5 entrance fee to watch the game. The Freshman and the Juniors will compete first, then the Sophomores and the Seniors. Whichever team wins those games will go against each other and the victor of that game wins Powder Puff. This game is going to be located on the football field. Powderpuff is run by the Student Leadership Club and coached by the football players in each grade.
“I think the Sophomores will win this year because everyone has worked super hard to improve from last year,” said Haley Singer, a player on the Sophomore Powderpuff team.
The players are working hard and they are very confident in their teams.
“In practices, we work on different plays, passing, and skills,” said Nora Elliott, a player on the Freshman Powderpuff team.
The Juniors won against the Seniors in the Powderpuff game last year, and are looking to repeat whereas other teams are looking to dethrone the champions.
