CHESHIRE, Conn. – The Fitch Varsity football team lost its second game of the season, dropping to an 0-2 record
Fitch played the Cheshire Rams on Sept. 20 in a losing effort, falling early on this season. The falcons struggled early this year with two defeats, but were looking forward to turning things around this season.
“I’m proud of our team,” said Coach Jordan Panucci.” We faced a ton of adversity throughout the week and during the game, which we overcame.
Panucci admitted that a lot of focus would be needed to turn the tides in upcoming games.
“Our next game [always] depends on how hard we work during the week,” he said. “If we have a great week of practice and take care of each other on and off the field, we always have a better chance at winning.”
The Falcons improved to 1-2 with a close win of 18-15 against the Simsbury Trojans on Sept. 27. Their next game sees them take on the East Lyme Vikings on Oct. 4
