On November 16th, Fitch’s annual Powderpuff game took place with girls from all grade levels competing, culminating in a surprising win for the junior class.
Kicking off the event with Seniors vs Sophomores, Seniors took the win and faced the Juniors (who beat the Freshman earlier in the night). The Seniors and Juniors played against each other for a total of 30 minutes, except for the first game between Seniors and Sophomores, which went into overtime. In the end, the Juniors won the night, upsetting the Seniors.
“We crushed them to pieces,” said junior Taleah Mitchell.
The result was a switch from last year’s game, in which the Seniors defeated the Juniors in the finals.
Due to the pandemic in previous years, Powderpuff did not take place, but is likely to remain an annual tradition in the future during November’s Spirit Week.
