GROTON, Conn. – With Thanksgiving spirit week coming and going already, students have mixed opinions on the week.
Spirit week started on Thursday Nov. 16 with Powderpuff colors and ended on Nov. 21 the next week with Sweater Weather. This means there were only four days in this spirit week that were split into two separate weeks. This led to less people being involved and mixed opinions from students.
“I didn’t think the days were boring or anything,” said senior Kaylee Smith. ”It was just split into two separate weeks and no one was really enthusiastic about it.”
Students who are new to the school also feel the same.
“I just think it wasn’t as good as the first one we had,” said a freshman. “Barely anyone dressed up, too.”
With spirit week, there were also other events students could attend like the Powderpuff games where the juniors celebrate a win against the seniors in the finals to win the tournament. There won’t be another spirit week until March 2024.
