Within the first day of being released the app had 10 million subscribers. By November 19th, 2019, Disney+ was released in Australia and New Zealand, and by March 24, 2020, it will be launched across Western Europe. Some of the content that subscribers are looking forward to watching is Marvel, Pixar, Natural Geographic, and old Disney movies that don’t air so often anymore. Disney has made about $28.6 billion within the first three months of releasing the Disney+ app, which corresponded with a growth from $0.9 billion to $4 billion in that quarter. Disney is expecting there to be between 60 to 90 million subscribers by 2024. Those numbers are counting everyone worldwide once they release their app everywhere.

Disney wasn’t only successful with their Disney+ app. When they released the app, some of their other streaming services gained subscribers as well. Hulu went from 22.8 million to 30.4 million subscribers, while ESPN+ went from 1.4 million to 6.6 million subscribers.
